Sugar Land’s citywide commitment to healthy lifestyles earned Sugar Land its third straight title in Gov. Rick Perry’s Texas Roundup. The City’s efforts in the program were mobilized by a local committee that created “Shape Up Sugar Land” as the City’s motto.
The Texas Round-Up is a statewide effort that provides a simple, supportive and goal-oriented approach to motivating the citizens of this state to get active. This program encourages Texans to participate in at least 30 minutes of physical activity per day, five days a week.
